The State of Mississippi has recent adopted emergency rules which modify its Telephone Solicitation Act. Businesses may now register their phone numbers on the state’s Do Not Call list. Telemarketing services, including B2B telemarketers must suppress numbers on the state’s Do Not Call list unless an exemption applies. The emergency rules are in while the Mississippi Public Service Commission is working to adopt permanent rules.
